Hon. Kafilat Ogbara Congratulates All APC Chairmen and Councillors-Elect Across Lagos State on Resounding Electoral Victory
Lagos, Nigeria – July 13, 2025 — Honourable Kafilat Adetola Ogbara, Member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Kosofe Federal Constituency and Chairperson, House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development, has extended her warmest congratulations to all APC Chairmanship and Councillorship elects across Lagos State following their victory at the just-concluded local government elections.
Describing the outcome as “an overwhelming endorsement of leadership rooted in service and trust,” Hon. Ogbara praised the resilience, commitment, and democratic spirit exhibited by both the candidates and the electorates across the state.
“The people of Lagos have once again demonstrated their unwavering belief in grassroots leadership and democratic consolidation. I congratulate every chairman and councillor-elect who has emerged from this process — your victory is not only a mandate, but a solemn responsibility,” she stated.
Hon. Ogbara emphasized that the results reflect the collective hope of millions of Lagosians who seek purposeful leadership, responsible governance, and inclusive development at the most immediate level of representation.
“This moment is not about titles, it is about the task ahead — to build, to serve, and to transform. Our communities are calling for action. I trust that all newly elected officials will rise to the occasion and govern with wisdom, fairness, and compassion,” she added.
She further encouraged all elected officials to lead with integrity and remain closely connected to the people who placed their trust in them.
“The real work begins now. Governance must reflect the needs of the market woman, the artisan, the youth on the street, and the elderly in our neighborhoods. Lagos thrives when its local governments function as engines of innovation, equity, and opportunity.”
Hon. Ogbara also extended special recognition to the female candidates who emerged victorious, noting that their success is a beacon for women across Nigeria who aspire to contribute meaningfully to governance and national development.
“To every woman who has broken through, your win is more than personal — it is generational. You have opened doors for many more to walk through.”
As a federal legislator, she pledged her unwavering support for collaborative governance, urging all elected officials to maintain open channels of dialogue with state and federal representatives in the pursuit of sustainable development and prosperity for all.
“Together, we will continue to build a Lagos that works for everyone — from the grassroots to the centre.”
