KOSOFE PRIMARY: “HON. TOSIN HUSSEIN WARN BOLA BADA TO RESTRAIN HER DOG”

Reacting to the recent interview of one Rosemary Oshoffa who she called Bola Bada’s stray dog, *Hon. Tosin Hussein.(Omologo)*, one of the leading grassroots political women in *Ikosi-Isheri LCDA* and a woman whose political presence commands considerable respect within the constituency, said the position of *Hon. Kafilat Ogbara* remains unequivocal: *no consensus was reached that amounted to her withdrawal, concession or endorsement of any candidate.*

According to Hon. Tosin Hussein, the issue cannot be divorced from the reality of the last primary election, where *Ogbara enjoyed majority of the grassroots support, with party members across Kosofe turning out en masse to vote for her.*

Rosemary is a special assistant/ supervisor to Bola bada at the Ikosi-Isheri LCDA council and he who pays the piper, dictates her tune. So Bada “call your mad dog to order”……
Hon. Tosin Hussein. maintained that the strongest evidence of Ogbara’s political standing remains the people themselves, noting that the massive turnout and majority support she received at the last primary constitute a compelling indication that *she remains the people’s choice.*

“Politics cannot be reduced to meetings held in closed rooms while ignoring the voice of the people. APC Kosofe spoke through its card carrying members, and the overwhelming majority support for Kafilat Ogbara cannot simply be wished away.”

She further warned *Bola Bada and her associates* to exercise restraint and call their more combative dogs to order, warning that inflammatory rhetoric could unnecessarily deepen divisions within the party.

“I am giving a clear and resounding warning to Bola Bada and her cohorts to call their mad dog to order. Political disagreement is legitimate; reckless provocation is not. If reconciliation is truly the objective, then let us pursue it with candour, dignity and respect for the wishes of the people.”

Hon. Tosin stressed that the APC’s interest is best served not by *manufactured narratives or political theatrics*, but by a process anchored in truth, due process and respect for the legitimate voice of party members. “Kosofe does not need political theatrics. It needs a process that respects the people, recognises legitimate grievances and produces an outcome that commands genuine acceptance.”

She concluded by urging all stakeholders to lower the temperature and allow *truth, justice and the authentic voice of Kosofe* to prevail. Also pointing to the just-concluded Osun State governorship election as a compelling contemporary reminder that the people’s mandate remains the ultimate determinant in democratic politics. She noted that despite the political calculations surrounding the election, INEC ultimately declared Accord Party candidate Ademola Adeleke the winner,

“Osun has once again demonstrated that the people cannot be treated as mere spectators in a political arrangement. When the electorate speaks, every structure must listen. Political engineering may shape the contest, but ultimately, it is the people who confer the mandate.”
