“NO VACANCY IN KOSOFE” STAKEHOLDERS, LGA CHAIRMAN, AUTHORITY, RESIDENTS UNANIMOUSLY ENDORSE HON. KAFILAT OGBARA FOR SECOND TERM

The atmosphere at the Kosofe Local Government Secretariat was electrifying as thousands of party faithful, community stakeholders, residents, youths, women groups, religious leaders, market associations, artisans, and political leaders gathered in one voice to publicly endorse Kafilat Ogbara for a second term as Member representing Kosofe Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives.

The massive stakeholders’ engagement, which turned into a grand show of political strength and solidarity, witnessed the presence of the Executive Chairman of Kosofe LGA, Moyosore Ogunlewe, prominent APC leaders, councillors, ward executives, CDC representatives, market leaders, NURTW members, artisans, youth groups, religious bodies including CAN and League of Imams, royal fathers, community development associations, teachers, women groups, and party stakeholders from across the Federal Constituency.

Also present was the Senior Special Assistant to the President, popularly known as “Authority,” alongside several notable political figures who all rallied support for the reelection of Hon. Ogbara and the second-term bid of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

As Hon. Kafilat Ogbara arrived at the venue, the atmosphere erupted into celebration. Supporters sang songs of praise, waved banners, danced with excitement, and chanted slogans declaring their unwavering support for the lawmaker fondly known across the constituency as *Mama Kosofe* and *Yeye Sewa of Lagos*.

In what many described as the defining moment of the gathering, Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe publicly reaffirmed his political stance in Yoruba, saying:

> *“E bi ti mo wa le yi ooo!”*
> *(See clearly where I stand!)*

The statement drew thunderous applause as he went further to declare his total support for Hon. Kafilat Ogbara and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging party members and residents to remain united ahead of the next electoral cycle.

Speaking during the engagement, Hon. Kafilat Ogbara expressed deep appreciation for the overwhelming love, trust, and endorsement shown by the people of Kosofe. She described the moment as emotional and humbling, noting that the support from the grassroots remains the greatest motivation behind her commitment to service.

The federal lawmaker used the occasion to give account of her stewardship in less than three years at the National Assembly, highlighting several constituency interventions and legislative achievements recorded under her representation.

Among the projects and interventions she listed were educational support programmes, youth empowerment initiatives, women empowerment schemes, healthcare interventions, scholarship opportunities, vocational training programmes, infrastructure facilitation, support for small businesses, and strategic constituency outreach programmes targeted at vulnerable residents.

On the legislative front, Hon. Ogbara also highlighted her active role in sponsoring and supporting bills focused on gender equity, women inclusion, social protection, youth development, and national growth, while emphasizing her leadership as Chairman of the House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development.

> “This mandate has always been about the people. Every intervention, every project, every voice raised on the floor of the House has been driven by my love for Kosofe and my belief that our people deserve quality representation,” she stated.

Residents at the event also shared glowing testimonials about the impact of her representation.

Mrs. Kudirat Balogun, a market leader from Ojota, described Hon. Ogbara as “a woman who listens and responds,” adding that many families have directly benefited from her empowerment initiatives.

A youth leader from Ogudu, Seun Adebayo, praised her accessibility and grassroots connection.

> “Before now, many young people felt disconnected from leadership, but Hon. Kafilat changed that. She carries the youths along and gives us hope,” he said.

Another resident, Alhaji Sulaimon Rasaki from Idi-Aba Ojota, noted that her performance had made the reelection conversation easy for the people.

> “What we are seeing today is genuine love from the people. Kosofe has spoken loudly there is no vacancy,” he declared.

The engagement ended with renewed chants of solidarity for Hon. Kafilat Ogbara and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as stakeholders collectively pledged to mobilize support across all wards within the constituency.

For many political observers, the gathering was more than a stakeholders’ meeting it was a bold public statement that Hon. Kafilat Ogbara continues to enjoy massive grassroots acceptance and remains firmly positioned as the people’s choice ahead of the next general elections.
