Kosofe Mourns as Ologudu of Ogudu Land, Oba Nojeemdeen Fashola, Joins His Ancestors

The Member representing Kosofe Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives and Chairman, House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development, Kafilat Ogbara, has paid glowing tribute to the late Ologudu of Ogudu Land, Oba Nojeemdeen Fashola, following the announcement of his passing.

In an emotional condolence message released on behalf of her family and the people of Kosofe Federal Constituency, Hon. Ogbara described the late monarch as a revered traditional ruler, a symbol of peace, wisdom, and cultural pride whose reign brought stability and unity to Ogudu Land and the larger Kosofe community.

According to the federal lawmaker, the transition of the respected royal father marks the end of a remarkable era of royal leadership dedicated to the progress, peace, and preservation of tradition.

“Kabiyesi was more than a traditional ruler; he was a father to many, a voice of wisdom, and a bridge builder whose leadership inspired peace, harmony, and development across Ogudu Land and beyond,” Hon. Ogbara stated.

She noted that throughout his reign, the late monarch remained deeply committed to the welfare of his people, constantly promoting unity, communal growth, and moral values that strengthened the cultural heritage of the community.

Hon. Ogbara further extended her heartfelt condolences to the royal family, traditional council, chiefs, elders, residents of Ogudu, and the entire Kosofe Federal Constituency over the painful loss.

She prayed for strength and comfort for the family and loved ones left behind, while asking Almighty God to grant the late monarch eternal rest.

“Though Kabiyesi has joined his ancestors, his legacy of service, humility, wisdom, and fatherly leadership will continue to live in the hearts of the people forever,” she added.

The passing of Oba Nojeemdeen Fashola has continued to draw tributes from political leaders, traditional institutions, community stakeholders, and residents across Lagos State, all describing his death as a significant loss to Kosofe and the traditional institution in Lagos.
