Hon. Kafilat Ogbara Launches Free Medical Mission for Kosofe Constituents
In a bold and compassionate move to improve grassroots healthcare, Honourable Kafilat Adetola Ogbara, Member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Kosofe Federal Constituency and Chairperson, House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development, has organized a life-saving medical outreach for residents of her constituency.
The event, which took place on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025, at the Ogbara White House located at No. 8 Oduntan Street, opposite Glass House Bus Stop, Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, attracted a large turnout of community members from all walks of life. Tagged “Medical Mission,” the outreach was powered by the OgBara Kafilat Foundation in collaboration with Naykas Healthcare.
The program offered an array of free medical services, including hypertension and diabetes screening and treatment, full dental care, malaria treatment, blood tests, and other general consultations. Importantly, the event also featured comprehensive health education on lifestyle diseases like hypertension and diabetes, emphasizing preventive care.
What made the outreach even more remarkable was the participation of medical professionals from the United States of America, who attended to residents with international best practices and care. Residents expressed their joy and gratitude as they were not only diagnosed but also given free medications and expert advice on living healthier lives.
Hon. Kafilat Ogbara reiterated her commitment to ensuring that health remains a top priority in her representation. “Healthcare is not a privilege—it is a right. I believe in delivering the dividends of democracy directly to the people. Your health is truly my priority,” she said.
This initiative marks another impactful milestone in her service-driven tenure and further cements her place as a people-centered lawmaker. Constituents praised her for bridging the gap between their health needs and access to quality care—without cost.
The Medical Mission is part of her continuous effort to uplift the welfare of the people of Kosofe and ensure that no one is left behind in the push for development, especially in the areas of women’s and general public health.
