In a grand show of compassion and community leadership, Honourable Adetola Adunni Abubakar, the APC Chairmanship Flag Bearer for Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), distributed food palliatives across all seven wards of the LCDA to commemorate the 2025 Eid al-Adha celebration.

The palliatives, which included rice, cash, and other festive essentials, were handed over to ward leaders and some community members for equitable distribution among residents — ensuring that every home, regardless of status, could partake in the joy and blessings of the sacred season.

At each distribution point, Hon. Abubakar was met with excitement and gratitude. In many corners of Agboyi-Ketu, residents were seen singing songs of praise and chanting her campaign slogan, “Igba Otun Ti De” (A New Season Has Come) — a clear sign of growing grassroots support for her people-focused agenda.

In her heartfelt address during the exercise, Hon. Abubakar called for unity among community members, urging them to embrace the true meaning of Eid — love, peace, and sacrifice.

“This season reminds us that we are stronger when we stand together,” she said. “Let us live in peace with one another, show love beyond our differences, and trust in the journey ahead. With the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, I believe our communities will see transformation that truly touches every household.”

She also emphasized her continued commitment to inclusive governance, especially in supporting the most vulnerable groups — women, children, the elderly, and low-income families.

“This is not about politics,” she added, “This is about humanity. And if we all lead with compassion and responsibility, our LCDA will become a model of what leadership should be.”

Community leaders and religious clerics in attendance praised Hon. Abubakar’s consistent outreach and her message of peace, describing her as “a mother to the people” and “a leader who leads with both heart and vision.”

In areas like Agboyi I, Alapere, and Ketu Central, spontaneous songs celebrating her generosity filled the air — with many residents declaring their support for her candidacy in the forthcoming local government elections.

Hon. Abubakar’s Sallah outreach follows a long-standing tradition of service that has earned her widespread respect across Agboyi-Ketu LCDA. As the former Supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, her track record of empowerment and community-based interventions continues to drive her vision for a better LCDA.

With the 2025 elections drawing closer, political observers say her grassroots momentum, coupled with her unwavering loyalty to the APC and alignment with the national vision, positions her as a front-runner in the race.
