Political Titans Converge as Alhaji Luqman & Honorable Kafilat Ogbara’s Son’s Wedding Becomes a Gathering of National Significance


In a spectacle of grandeur and political camaraderie, the wedding ceremony of the son of Alhaji Luqman & Honorable Kafilat Ogbara Chairman House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development, Member Federal House of Representatives representing Kosofe Federal Constituency transformed into a convergence of Nigeria’s top political and national dignitaries, solidifying the event as a symbol of unity and celebration. Amidst a sea of well-wishers, distinguished guests, and jubilant festivities, the presence of esteemed figures added an aura of significance to the joyous occasion.

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was well represented by the Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, who graced the event with his esteemed presence. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, a towering figure in Nigeria’s political landscape accompanied by Otunba Oyewole Fasawe, added to the illustrious guest list, lending his blessings to the newlyweds.

The Governor of Lagos State who is out of the Country was represented by his wife, the First Lady of Lagos State Mrs Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu ensured the state’s prominence at the event. His Excellency Dapo Abiodun, Governor of Ogun State, the three Senators from Lagos State, Sen. Tokunbo Abiru, Senator Adebule and Senator Eshinlokun, other Senators present are Sen. Ganiyu Solomon, Senator Gbenga Ashafa, Sen. Mamora, Sen. Olamilekan Yayi and wife, Mrs Faleke wife of Hon. Faleke, All the House of Representatives Members from Lagos State led by by the Caucus Leader Hon. Dolapo Badru came to support their own Hon. Kafilat Ogbara who also double as the Caucus Secretary. The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa and other Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly. The deputy Gov.of Ogun State Mrs Noimot Oyedele, Wife of the Deputy Governor of Lagos State Mrs Oluremi Hamzat further highlighted the gathering’s national significance. The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Lagos, Mr. Tayo Ayinde, Mr. Kola Peregrino GM Lagos State Printing Corporation, Mrs Teju Phillips GM LASACO, reinforced the political prominence of the occasion. The GAC Leader in Lagos state Alhaji Tajudeen Olusi and his Secretary Alhaji Mutiu Aare were present with other GAC Members Alhaji Tunde Balogun, Sen. Seye Ogunlewe, Former dept.Governor Lagos State Sarah Sosan,  Sen. Obanikoro, Sen. Among the traditional rulers in attendance were Oba Rilwan Akiolu represented by the white Cap chiefs, Oba Elegushi, Oba Oniru, Oba Alara, and Oba Akinola, Ikate surulere, Olofin Isheri, Oba Alara of Ilara with his Olori, Obas within Kosofe Federal Constituency also came out in their numbers: Olu of Agboyi Kingdom Oba Monsuru Ladega, Oba Oruba Agboyi II, Oba Ketu Oyero Balogun and his olori, Oba Shangisha, the Ogudu of Ologudu and others adding a regal touch to the festivities with their dignified Presence. Noteworthy was the heartfelt advice imparted by Vice-President Senator Kashim Shettima on behalf Reflecting on the sanctity of marriage and the importance of mutual respect and understanding, Senator Shettima urged the newlyweds to share everything with one another, guided by the principles outlined in the Holy Quran.

Several Members of the Federal House of Representatives from all over the Country were present to show their love and share in the joy of the families numerous dignitaries across the Federal Republic of Nigeria all graced this beautiful celebration.

As the wedding festivities unfolded, the presence of such eminent figures underscored the union’s significance, transcending family boundaries to become a celebration of National unity and Political solidarity. Against the backdrop of joy and jubilation, Honorable Kafilat Ogbara’s son’s wedding emerged as a Convergence of Personalities and not just a CROWD. Testament to the enduring spirit of togetherness that binds Nigeria’s political landscape
